NOTEBOOK: Levittown's Park wins S. Carolina junior event By Mark Herrmann • NewsdayMay 8, 2008 Annie Park, 13, of Levittown, won the girls division of the American Junior Golf Association Cliffs Championship, finishing with a 5-under par 67 at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls, in Salem, S.C. She made six birdies and only one bogey in that round. Park took up golf when she was 8 and by the time she was 11, she was beating 16- through-18-year-olds in regional tournaments ... One thing you won't hear this year is anyone saying they were so inspired by watching the U.S. Open on TV that they went out and played golf the rest of the day. The Open is going to be on in prime time on the East Coast, finishing at 10 p.m. Outings Guild Hall will hold its annual golf outing Monday at the Maidstone Club. Information can be obtained at www.guildhall.org ... Southampton Lions Club will hold its annual golf outing May 21 at Noyac Golf Club.
