WWJ Newswatch WWJ-AMDecember 6, 2007 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM BRIAN McFADDEN (sp) reporting: The White House acknowledged today the president's plan to help mortgage folks--folks who owe on mortgages that are about to jump. It isn't a silver bullet, but Wall Street likes it. It will help, they say. Bob Moulton at the Americana Mortgage Group says as far as the original problem, well, there is plenty of blame to go around for the mortgage mess. Mr. BOB MOULTON (Americana Mortgage Group Representative): It goes from the consumer to the banker to Wall Street. And the consumer was demanding more aggressive products and Wall Street was getting greedier. And you had the demand and you had the supply. And one just kept working off the other.
